The Projection Room

These works are based on the interiors and exteriors of two particular theatres; The Four Star, one of the oldest (and still running) in San Francisco, and The Irving. The images are the result of hand-cut stencils. The processes of looking through the layers, drawing outlines and shapes over and over, is a type of physical tracing of memory and histories.
